Tuan grew up in Grand Island, moved away for college, and then moved back in 2019. Alyssa grew up in Ravenna, moved away after high school, and returned in 2019. They met each other in late 2020, on the tail end of the pandemic, and in early 2023 decided to buy a home together.

For the longest time, Tuan had an itch to open his own boba shop in Grand Island. He had experienced it in his travels and wanted to share that experience with his community. When Tuan and Alyssa stumbled across a house that also came with a commercial building on the property, it seemed like destiny. After several months of hard work, Tuan and Alyssa opened their little shop on Eddy Street in August 2023.
